About

This site hopefully serves as an ongoing project of mine, that I write about ways to overcome common UX and programming dilemmas using just the tools you already have in your house! So let’s start by telling you a little about me, by the way you can skip the next paragraph if you don’t care, I would. I’m a developer and somewhat UI/UX fan who works in php at home and c# at the office. I deal a lot in CSS/standards and jQuery, I really like jQuery for its power and ease of use (I used to be a Mootools guy, for a few minutes in the early days). I live in Saint Louis, MO and am a father of two beaming little ones, my wife is the show-runner of the house as the Stay-at-home Mom and Head Chef extraordinaire! So enough about me as I’m certain you don’t really care.

So what is my goal in writing? Why would you like to subscribe to my feeds? Aren’t there enough folks out there writing what you write? We’ll hopefully all serve as great accessories to one another. I write on the issues I face and the solutions I come up with, sometimes they’ll hold zero relevance to your situation but may help shed some light on ways to approach common issues we developers are faced with from time to time. I also advocate very little use of “plugins” while some are really great, too many can cause issues more often than not and to be honest sometimes. Also I dig tinkering in the workshop so I may post some DIY tidbits from time to time. So if you benefit from or just plain enjoy any of my articles please feel free to share them, it’s just my way as a ten-year veteran of this industry to give back.
